Sustainability Accelerator Cohort Application

The Pilot Cohort

Six New Hampshire businesses will be selected each year for a structured, hands-on program that turns your survey results into a sustainability plan you can actually execute.

  1. Materiality & Strategy workshops: Four full-day sessions that help you identify which sustainability issues matter most to your business, your customers, and your industry — so your plan focuses where it counts.
  2. A strategic sustainability plan Not a generic template. A plan built around your actual operations, workforce, and market position — designed with expert facilitation to align with your business goals.
  3. A UNH Sustainability Fellow Each cohort business selects one initiative from their plan. A fully funded UNH graduate fellow is embedded in your business over the summer to help you implement it.
  4. Ongoing accountability Six-month check-in after the keep your plan on track. You’ll also join a peer network of cohort businesses across years — of future orgs in the program.

Cost: $1,000 for the full year

Workshops, plan development, fellow placement, and follow-up included. Grants and Sponsorships underwrite the remaining program costs so the fee stays accessible.

Readiness and Commitment

The cohort requires participation in four full-day workshops, engagement with a UNH Sustainability Fellow over the summer, and follow-up check-ins. Can you commit the time and a designated point of contact for the full year?

We encourage participation from someone in a decision-making role. More than one person is preferable to sustain the knowledge and work.

Is there anything that might make participation difficult for your business (scheduling, travel, staffing)? If so, we'd like to know so we can plan accordingly.
